Why your Lawn Needs 4 Application
Studies have shown that a healthy lawn requires 3 to 5 lbs. of nitrogen per year. If this amount were to be applied at one time, lawn damage would result. If applied only occasionally the turf is poorly nourished and becomes yellow-green, thin and weak. These conditions invite weeds and attack from insects and disease organism.

Finally, to achieve maximum weed control weeds must be treated to coincide with their different germination times.

Should you decide on fewer than 4 applications, weed control will be limited to those weeds present at application time.

Why Granular Fertilizer?
Valley Lawn Care, LLC uses only top quality granular fertilizers with a sulfur coating to provide timed release action. What this does for your lawn is to provide even growth, avoiding rapid surge growth, builds up the grass root system, does not evaporate, minimizes the risk of fertilizer burn, and helps maintain proper soil fertility. You can enhance the results of a regular lawn care program by following correct cultural practices.

Why Liquid weed control?
Valley Lawn Care, LLC uses only liquid weed control to provide your lawn with the most weed death to occur, the weed control product must come in direct contact with the weed. Weed death is accomplished by a translation process which breaks the growth cycle. Weeds germinate at different times throughout the year. Maximum weed control can only be achieved by following a regular lawn care program. Liquid weed control can be applied separately without fertilizer if desired.

Benefits of Lawn & Landscaping

  1. Smart Money magazine reported that consumers value a home with a lawn and landscape up to 11.3 percent higher than the base price.
  2. A turf area of just 50 feet by 50 feet absorbs carbon dioxide, ozone, and other atmospheric pollutants, and releases enough oxygen to meet the needs of a family of four.
  3. With up to 90% of the weight of a grass plant in its roots, a well maintained lawn makers a very efficient erosion prevention device and helps keep sediment out of lakes, streams, storm drains and roads.
  4. Turf grass helps purify water as its root mass and soil microbes act as filters to capture and breakdown many types of pollutants.
  5. By using tress and turf to modify temperatures, the amount of fossil fuels used for cooling and heating is reduced. Properly placed deciduous tress reduce house temperatures in the summer causing air conditioning units to run 2 to 4 percent more efficiently, but allow the sun to warm the house in the winter.
